What happened to the Turnips? Well Jarrah moved to Canberra in 2004 to do a music degree, leaving the band with no guitarist. Due to other commitments and perhaps a general lack of motivation the remaining band members are yet to decide if the Turnips should continue to exist. Who are/were The Turnips? The Turnips are a cover band from Townsville, Australia. They would like to entertain you and your mates with some of your favourite songs by artists as diverse as Weezer, Tone Loc and Percy Sledge. The Turnips consists of Alex (vocals), Jude (drums), Jarrah (guitar), Mark (keyboard) and Simon (bass).
