Most of Townsville's members have side projects as an extra outlet for their creativity and talent. Many also play in other bands as well as Townsville. On this page you can find out about the side projects and other bands Townsville members are involved in.

Chinchy

Chinchy consist of Alex (vocals, programming, samples), and Jude (guitar, bass, drums, programming). They have released a CD called 'Serve It Up' with original songs. They also do easy listening covers at the occasional busking gig. See the latest Remedy magazine for their cover story on Chinchy... Serve It Up is available for download here:

Green Apple Cat

Green Apple Cat is Scott's recording project. Green Apple Cat is yet to perform live though it has released two CDs, 'Green Apple Cat' (1998), and 'Torn Apart Rat' (2001). The Turnips

With Townsville refocusing on original material, Alex, Jude and Simon recruited Jarrah from Souled out and created the the Turnips, a band dedicated to the art of playing dodgey covers gigs in return for beer, bourbon, food and sometimes even money. See their web site for more info.

Other Bands

• The Stationwagon. Jude and Simon play drums and bass respectively in The Stationwagon.
• Sweet Salt, The Mules are other bands the ubiqutious Jude is a part of. He has also been known to fill in for Souled Out and a few other bands when they are in need of a drummer.
• Nozzle. Nozzle is a new band formed by Scott, former Townsville drummer David Pincott, and the ex Pod frontman, John. Look out for their debut gig at the Palm Creek Festival.
• Watch out for Scott's other top secret band, rumoured to be called Space in Time.
