Q. Why are you called Townsville?
A. We are named after the city of Townsville where we live.
Q. Is that because you're, like, being sarcastic and stuff?
A. No. Townsville is cool.
Q. You mean you actually like Townsville?
A. Yes.
Q. But why name your band Townsville? It's a bit confusing.
A. It's all to do with Scott's big ego trip. You
see, he sees himself as one of the most important
musicians in history. He believes it'll make life easier for journalists
when they write about his "Townsville days" later on. They can refer to the city and the band with one word.
A. You know there are plenty of other great bands named after places. For example, Chicago, Portishead and er... some others.
A. We had to think of a name it was the first one that popped up in Scott's head.

Q. What's all this about the Powerpuff Girls?
A. Powerpuff Girls is a TV show on The Cartoon Network. It's one of our favourite shows and by a strange and wonderful coincidence it's set in a city called
Townsville. This has nothing to do with the name of our band.
